Life, realities and hard choices

I just got off the phone with a long time friend of my. I am so suprised that this fellow is desperately looking for true love, but I thought he is in a marriage, yes, he still is, I thought he is happily married, probably not anymore. So, how does a marriage move from being sweet wedlock to being a frustrating entrapment with unhappy people forcing each other to stay. They have kids, they tangible monthly income, but they are no longer happy. My friend is getting depressed, I wish I could personally help him, but I believe he will greatly benefit from diverse views, hence this blog. Comments are eagerly anticipated

Pieces of thought

they are at it again. The anti masses governor of lagos. "Motorcycle raids" unprecedented in scope and effects. The failed reactionery police force which are the errand dogs of the state tyranny were instructed to embark on the *poverty erredication* crime /insanity reduction raids. The first flaw of this assignment is that the victims are taken unawares without a forewarning. Second is that *impoundmet and permanent seizure of motorcycles from law abiding/ peace loving lagos settlers is neither democratic nor profitabl to the suffering majorities whose highest estimated asset could be the motorcycle.
The known and unknown (defined and undefined ) taxes currently impossed on the lagosians through various agencies including local government levies has not been enough.
Motorcycles are being heaped up in various camps at state government headquaters. What a better way to force people to become rebellious against the state. Motorcycles on the average cost 90,000 naira and above. People now watch their motorcycles join the heap of no return. No problem.

While the state government is targeting mega city status at expense of the survival of the ordinary people who are mostly poor, the rich turn a blind eye on the sufferings of the poor.
I am not saying that the government should open charitable foundations for the poor people, but the scope of free enterprise should not be as rigid as it currently is.
The poor people still have to compete with ot...hers in sponsoring their children to university education, paying house rents, and eating good food, but there is almost no means allowed. This is serriouse!
Lagos state university tuition has gone up by over 700%.
A visit to the kiri kiri prisons suggest that for every 2 inmates released, 227 more are admitted. Thousands of young Nigerians are being lured into crime by not only the deprivation but the unhidden flamboyance of the affluent.
I feel for the people am better than , cos the pit is bottomless.
But many either foolishly or ignorantly are suffering and smiling.

Love, satisfaction etc cannot be measured because they are purely subjective to the individual and relative. But you can speculate and or predict the intensity of lack and poverty in lagos today, ironically, the same city with the most well off class in the country is also where you find the most miserable
